The Postwirt is located in the centre of Söll in Tyrol, at the foot of the Wilder Kaiser, in the Wilder Kaiser-Brixental region (address: Dorf 82, 6306 Söll). The village is part of the Wilder Kaiser holiday region and serves as a year-round starting point for walks and cycle rides, and in winter for the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser ski area.
What’s the best way to reach the Postwirt?
Söll is easily accessible by car via the A93/B173 and by train to Kufstein or Wörgl; from there, buses and free shuttles to Söll run with the Wilder Kaiser Guest Card. The nearest airports are Innsbruck (approx. 1 hour’s drive), Salzburg (approx. 1 hour) and Munich (approx. 1.5 hours).
Is there parking at the Postwirt?
Yes, there is a car park directly at the hotel, including a disabled parking space. There is no underground car park.
Is the hotel easily accessible by public transport?
Yes. The nearest train station is in Kufstein, or alternatively in Wörgl. With the Wilder Kaiser Guest Card, you can use public buses and shuttles in the region free of charge.
How do you get from the Postwirt to the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser ski area?
The free ski bus takes guests staying at the Postwirt to the lifts at SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental – one of Austria’s largest interconnected ski areas, with 275 kilometres of slopes and 81 lifts.

The Postwirt offers three heated pools: the Panorama Indoor Pool (31°C), the Outdoor Pool in the hotel garden (29-33°C) and the Infinity Sunset Pool for adults aged 16 and over (32-35°C). In addition, a toddlers’ pool awaits families in the Family Spa.
Is there an adults-only area in the spa?
Yes, the Adults-Only Panorama Spa, featuring a Infinity Sunset Pool (32-35°C) and a gentle pine sauna (60°C), is available to guests aged 16 and over.
What types of sauna are available in the wellness area?
The wellness area features several saunas, including the gentle pine sauna, which is heated to around 60°C, as well as several relaxation areas offering views of the mountain landscape.
Is access to the wellness area included in the room rate?
Yes, the wellness area is available to guests at no extra cost during their stay.

What activities can you enjoy around Söll in the summer?
In summer, the Wilder Kaiser region offers over 700 km of marked walking trails, around 400 km of cycling and mountain-biking routes, as well as several swimming lakes and outdoor swimming pools.
Can you set off on a hike straight from the Postwirt?
Yes, there are hiking trails of varying levels of difficulty around Söll. Guests can also use the free Kaiserjet hiking bus to reach the valley stations at Söll, Scheffau, Ellmau and Going.
Is it possible to go cycling or mountain biking in the summer?
Yes, there are around 400 km of signposted cycling and mountain-biking routes in the Wilder Kaiser region.
