***THE BERGDOKTOR*** on the Wilder Kaiser
The popular “Bergdoktor” TV-series has called the Wilder Kaiser region home for almost 10 years. Since 2008, the series has been filmed here on our doorstep in Söll, Scheffau, Ellmau and Going.
The successful series drives more and more fans to the Wilder Kaiser region. Viewers now want to experience more than just admiring the actors, the beautiful landscape and the filming locations from home.
The guided Bergdoktor tours, which lead past the Bergdoktor house “Köpfing” and his practice, as well as the film hiking trail and the Bergdoktor horse-draw-sleigh ride continue to fascinate more and more guests. The so-called Bergdoktor Fan Days, which spread across over the different filming locations over 4 weeks, also attract many fans.
The Bergdoktor house “Köpfinghof” in Söll is located on Bromberg hill and has been in the property of the Mayr Family since 1970 – they still cultivate the farm to this day. The farm itself is located roughly 1100m above sea level and provides a glorious view of the Hohe Salve, the Pölven and the Wilder Kaiser.
PRO TIP: It’s the perfect place to enjoy a wonderful sunset 🙂
For all hikers, walkers and, of course, e-bikers: the Bergdoktor filming locations are very easy to reach. It’s no more than 3.5 km and 300 metres up from the Bergdoktor car park right next to ther Stampfanger chapel.
Cars are strictly prohibited from driving to the Bergdoktor house, but the Family Eisenmann from the alpine inn Alpengasthaus Gruberhof provides a shuttle service in the form of a tractor trailor ride. More information can be found at the Söll tourism association.
